What is the timeline for the grant process in 2026?
Our 2026 grant cycle will launch on Monday, May 18, 2026, at 12:01AM EST, with a 60-day window to apply online with Survey Monkey Apply. There is a hard deadline of Friday, July 17, 2026 by 11:59PM EST as the system will automatically close and no extensions will be granted. Proposals received on or after 7/18/2026 will NOT be accepted for award consideration.
Decisions on awards will be made in September and all applicants will be notified on or before October 1, 2026, via e-mail and through their account created on SurveyMonkey Apply and to the email who submitted the application.
Can I preview the grant application before creating a Survey Monkey Apply account?
Yes! It’s not currently available but soon you will be able to download a preview.
Are there any budgetary requirements to consider for eligibility?
Yes there will be a budget you must submit for consideration. We are currently evaulating budgetary requirements for 2026.
Is there a geographic limitation to this year’s grant application for eligibility?
If your organization is located anywhere in the United States, where direct services are provided, you are eligible to apply. MDF will not be funding any international programs at this time.
